DMG came to us with the question of creating an online inspiration tool to support their market leading kitchen store brand Keukenmaxx. Together we’ve created a place for exploratory consumers to collect beautiful content from Keukenmaxx and mix it with their own photography and pictures.
They can easily create inspiring mood boards, collect information about the products and get in touch with Keukenmaxx kitchen designers for feedback or a personal meeting. It’s all about creating the best kitchen buying experience you can find.
The whole app is designed from a “less is more” flat approach. Giving maximum space to beautiful photography. We kept color tones and typography simple, but yet totally in line with the Keukenmaxx brand. Complemented with a layered design approach it’s a clean and intuitive experience. Exploring great kitchen designs, asking a question, sharing photo’s, creating mood boards or simply plan an appointment to discuss your ideas. It’s the best way to get inspired when looking for that dream kitchen.
Lightning fast photo browsing.
No stuttering, no hiccups.
To serve high-res photography we have created a very scalable Node.JS backend solution. But that wasn’t enough. Giving people that absolute fluid experience required a custom build native content browser, that we believe is possibly one of the best in it’s class. It’s a mix of lazy loading techniques and a bit of code magic.
To complete the customer journey, we have created a mobile companion as part of this beautiful universal iOS app. The mobile version lets you snap and add pictures wherever you are. Just found that amazing tap, kitchen sink or stove? Don’t lose it but keep it in your favorite mood board to go over it with your personal Keukenmaxx design consultant.
